Anna M. Luibly

Miss Anna M. Luibly, 86, of Milford MA, died Sunday morning (October 15, 2017) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health.

 

Anna was born in Bethlehem PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Barbara (Polgar) Luibly and Jeremiah and Mary Mahoney. She attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1948. She was also a graduate of Becker Junior College, Class of 1950.

 

Anna is survived by her sister: Florence M. Dugan of Milford MA. Also survived by her cousins: Elaine and James Reynolds of Milford MA; Tara (Reynolds) McCorkindale and her husband Jeffrey of East Longmeadow MA; Richard J. Harlow of Millis MA; Keith Harlow and his wife Dawn of Blackstone MA; plus many loyal & dear friends.

 

Anna was first employed at the former Draper Corporation located in Hopedale MA from 1950 to 1954. She then was employed at the US Army Quartermaster Research Labs in Natick MA from 1954 to 1987. From 1987 to 1990 she was employed at the House of Affirmation located in Hopedale MA and from 1991 to 2000 was employed at B. Vitalini Inc. of Milford MA.

 

Anna was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and had served  as a secretary to the Parish Council for 12 years; had served on the St. Vincent de Paul church committee; the old age & sick church committee; and also on the St. Mary’s Church/Trinity Church Covenant Committee from 1972 to present. She also served on the St. Mary’s parish Bishop’s Fund Committee from 1960 to 2005. Anna was also a member of the Cursillo religious organization and a past member of the Catholic Womens Club, having served as treasurer.

 

Her funeral will be held Wednesday (October 18th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday (October 17th) from  4pm to 7pm.                                     

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the assumption Parish, c/o Church Offices, 17 Winter Street, Milford MA 01757   or to    Friends of the GAM, Inc., 1 Countryside Drive , Milford MA 01757 Att: Resident Activities Fund.
