Anne Marie (Clement) Larson

Mrs. Anne Marie (Clement) Larson, 77, of Lanesboro MA, and formerly of Milford MA, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Warren A. Larson.

Anne Marie was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Joseph C. and the late Mary M. (Nelligan) Clement. She attended the former St. Mary’s parochial schools, graduating from the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1955. She also attended the former Milford Hospital School of Nursing.

Anne Marie had been employed for fifty years as a nursing assistant, working in both the public and private sector in Buffalo NY, Charleston SC, Milford and Pittsfield MA. Her last places of employment were at the former St. Luke’s Hospital and Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

After growing up in Milford, Anne Marie had resided in Tonawanda NY from 1957-1958. She then resided in Charleston from 1958 to 1961 and Pittsfield from 1961 to 1967. She had been a resident of Lanesboro since 1967.

Anne Marie had been a member of various women’s bowling leagues while residing in Charleston and Pittsfield. She also was a member of the Pittsfield Welcome Wagon organization that sponsored dances and bridge games.

Anne Marie was also a member of the Lanesboro Fire Department’s Firettes, as well as the Lanesboro Recreation Committee, the Lanesboro Scholarship Committee and the Lanesboro Lions Club. She was the recipient of the Pat Leahy Award, presented by the Lanesboro Lions Club “in recognition of her effort to further athletic competitive spirit in the Town of Lanesboro”.

Anne Marie was a member of North American Martyrs parish in Lanesboro, serving as a member of the parish council and a religious education instructor. She also volunteered as a Cub Scout leader in Lanesboro.

Along with her husband of 58 years, Anne Marie is survived by her 4 children: Kenneth Larson and his wife Pamela (Munro) of Kingston MA, and their children Joshua, Erika and Annika; Steven Larson and his wife Kathy (Bondini) of Lanesboro MA, and their children Timothy, Johanna and Michael; Sandra (Larson) Gray, and her husband Ronald of Milford MA, and their children Jacqueline and Ryan; and Joseph Larson and his wife Kimberley (Bulger) of Billerica MA, and their children Samantha, Connor, Brooke and Jack; 2 sisters: Joan (Clement) Holland of Kingston MA and Linda Clement of Marshfield MA; also many nephews and nieces.

Anne Marie’s funeral will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford. Visiting hours will be Thursday, September 17th from 5pm to 8pm. 

A memorial gathering will be held at the Lanesboro Fire Station, 180 South Main Street in Lanesboro on Sunday, September 20th from 11am to 2pm.  Please join the Larson family in remembering Anne Marie.
