Benedetto F. "Benny" Ferigno

Mr. Benedetto F. "Benny" Ferigno, 88, of Milford MA, died Sunday evening (October 12, 2008) at the Milford Geriatric Authority after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Frances E. (Cowen) Ferigno.

Mr. Ferigno was born in Milford, the son of the late Frank and the late Josephine (LaPreste) Ferigno. He attended Milford public schools as a boy. Mr. Ferigno was a WW II US Army veteran having served in the European theatre and the Asiatic-Pacific theatre of the war.

Mr. Ferigno owned and operated Benny's Flooring company located in Milford for many years and was later associated with Robertson's Floor Covering. He had been a resident of Milford for most of his life and had resided on Cape Cod for about ten years.

Along with his wife of 66 years, he is survived by 3 Daughters: Joyce, wife of Angelo Biagetti, June, wife of William Cavazza III and Gayle, wife of Robert Macchi all of Milford MA; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Margaret Fedolfi of Framingham MA; 1 Brother: Anthony Ferigno of Worcester MA; also many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Mrs. Mary Diana of Milford MA.

His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Friday (October 17th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Upper Church), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Road (Rte 109), Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm.
