Mrs. Blanche V. (Leone) Rizoli, 99, of Milford MA, died peacefully on Monday (November 13, 2017) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis “Burke” Rizoli, who died in 1979.
Mrs. Rizoli was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late John and the late Josephine (Schiappa) Leone. She attended Milford public schools and had been employed as a secretary at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA as a young woman.
Mrs. Rizoli was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford and a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Womens Club. She was also a member of the former Quinshepaug Womens Club, the “Silver Sneakers” Club, and the Sons of Italy. She was also an avid bowler.
She is survived by 1 Son: Atty. Louis A. Rizoli and his wife Connie of Westwood MA; 1 Daughter: Julie A. Rizoli-Richards, wife of Ernie Richards of Hopedale MA; 4 Grandchildren: Rebecca A Rizoli, wife of James Gay of Quincy MA, Lisa B. Rizoli Book of West Hartford CT, Justin L. Richards and his wife Brigid of Hopedale MA and Gina M., wife of David Haddad of Medway MA; 7 Great Grandchildren: Rachel Book, Daniel Book, Eliana Book, Teagan Richards, Zoey Richards, Kyra Richards and Mia Bianca Haddad; 1 Sister: Sylvia Protano of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.
She was the sister of the late C. Ben Leone, the late Albert Leone, the late Mary Mancinelli and the late Ann Bisiccia.
Her funeral will be held Monday (November 20th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Sunday (November 19th) from 3pm to 6pm.
