Diane V. (Chappell) Folkerts

Mrs. Diane V. (Chappell) Folkerts, 72, of Milford MA, died Wednesday (April 22, 2015) at  UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA after an illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester R. Folkerts, who died in 2014.

Mrs. Folkerts was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Ida (Robbins) Chappell. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1961. She was first employed as a waitress at The Monitcello Restaurant in the Chateau de Ville in Framingham MA and then later was employed for over 25 years at Waters Corporation in Milford MA.

Mr. Folkerts was an avid boater and along with her late husband had been a member of the Nipmuc Rod & Gun Club and a member of their CB Club.

Mrs. Folkerts is survived by her 2 Children: Robin M., wife of Michael A. Tusino III of Milford MA and Robert J. Folkerts of Milford MA; 2 Grandchildren: Michael A. Tusino IV and Nicole M. Tusino, both of Milford MA; 3 Siblings: Joseph Chappell and his wife Doris of Milford MA, Theodore Chappell and his wife Emmy of Arizona, and Linda MacNeil of Bellingham MA; also several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Folkerts was the sister of the late John “Jackie” Chappell of Milford MA.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (April 25th) at 9AM from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (April 24th) from 5pm to 8pm.
