Earl Lester Licklider

Mr. Earl L. Licklider, 65, of Milford MA, passed away on April 30, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Riley) Licklider for 43 years.

He was the loving father of Ann Licklider Alves, Matthew Licklider, Jared Licklider of Milford MA and Jason Licklider and his wife Diana Tubbs of Worcester MA. He was the devoted grandfather of Jackson and Bridget Alves. Earl is also survived by his mother, Gladyne (Pinnell) Licklider Riddle of Cuba MO; and many nieces & nephews.

Mr. Licklider was born in Sullivan County, Missouri, son of Gladyne and the late James L. Licklider. He was raised and educated in Missouri, graduating from Cuba High School in Cuba MO, Class of 1969.

Mr. Licklider enlisted in the US Air Force in 1969. After serving in the Vietnam War, he attended Missouri Valley College. Upon graduation he began his career as an electrical and computer engineer. He had been employed for many years as a telecommunications systems engineer working for Mitel Corporation, headquartered out of Texas.

Mr. Licklider was a member of the Hopkinton Sportsmen’s Association, but most of all loved spending time with his family.

Visiting hours will be held Friday (May 5th) from 6pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA with a Funeral Service commencing at 7:45pm.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow and committal services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA will be held at the convenience of the family.
