Elizabeth J. (Wonderly) Clark

Mrs. Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Wonderly) Clark, 91, of Milford MA, died early Tuesday morning (October 4, 2011) at UMASS/Memorial Healthcare in Worcester MA as a result of injuries sustained in an accidental fall at her residence. She was the wife of the late Martin P. Clark, who died in 1980.

Mrs. Clark was born in Newton MA, the daughter of the late Paul E. and the late Elizabeth A. (Magullion) Wonderly. She was a graduate of Hopkinton High School, Class of 1937. She also attended the former Framingham Teachers College.

Mrs. Clark was a longtime resident of Milford and a longtime communicant of St. Mary's Church in Milford. She also had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale in the last few years of her life.

Mrs. Clark was a devoted housewife and mother who volunteered as a cubscout leader and also volunteered for the bluebirds and the campfire girls. She was also a longtime member of the former Catholic Womens Club at St. Mary's Church.

Mrs. Clark was also a member of the Emblem Club and a member of the Sgt. John W. Powers Post American Legion Auxiliary in Milford. She was also an active member of the Milford Senior Center participating in many of their various trips.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her 7 Children: Martin Clark and his wife Mary of Branford CT, Elizabeth Burdick of North Smithfield RI, Patricia Riskall and her husband George of Hopedale MA, Nancy Woolhiser and her husband James of Hopedale MA, MaryBeth Nasuti and her husband Raymond of Franklin MA, Kevin Clark and his wife Ann of Hallowell ME and Brian Clark of Milford MA;
16 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Pauline Potter of Omaha NE; also several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clark was the grandmother of the late Michael Patrick Burdick; the great grandmother of the late Jessica Reis and the sister of the late Patricia M. Dow.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (October 8th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cedar Street (Rte 85), Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (October 7th) from 5pm to 8pm, at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
