Mrs. Elsie A. (Golden) Acquafresca, 85, of Milford MA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday (November 21, 2017) at the Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after being stricken at home. She was the beloved wife of Henry R. Acquafresca.
She was born in North Attleboro MA, the daughter of the late William and the late Laura (Hoddie) Golden. She attended St. Mary’s parochial schools in North Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 1949. She also attended Boston University.
She had been a resident of Milford since 1958 and had been employed at the Massachusetts Unemployment Office located in Milford. But her favorite job was that of being a dedicated mother, wife and grandmother.
She loved to read and was an avid NE Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. She also loved sitting on her farmer’s porch enjoying the outdoors.
Along with her beloved husband of 59 years, she is survived by her 5 Children: Cheryl Acquafresca and her companion Tom DesRochers of Naples FL, Michael Acquafresca of Cape Coral FL, Henry Acquafresca Jr. of Milford MA, Steven Acquafresca and his wife Donna of Naples FL and Gail L. Franks of Milford MA; 9 Grandchildren: Nicholas Acquafresca, Hal Acquafresca, Jamie Acquafresca, Zachary Acquafresca, Steven Acquafresca, Joseph Acquafresca, Samantha Franks, Christopher Franks and Emily Franks; 1 Cousin: Janet, wife of George Geer of Brooklyn CT; 1 Sister-in-law: Amalia Acquafresca of Milford MA; also many nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will be held Monday (November 27th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday (November 26th) from 4pm to 7pm.
