Emilia Marina (Diotalevi) Donahue

           Mrs. Emilia M. (Diotalevi) Donahue, 93, of Milford MA, died Saturday (August 22, 2015) at the Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Donahue Jr., who died in 1976.

            Mrs. Donahue was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Emilio and the late Reminda (Romagnolli) Diotalevi, and was also raised by her step-mother, the late Gemma (DePasquale) Diotalevi. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1940.

            Mrs. Donahue was first employed as a young woman as a legal secretary for the late Judge Murray and later at the Archer Rubber Company. Upon her marriage she became a devoted housewife and mother. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Milford and also an avid volunteer at Fatima Shrine in Holliston MA.

             Mrs. Donahue is survived by her 4 Children: Mimi H. Donahue of Milford MA, Donna Ciccarelli and her husband Larry of Milford MA, William Donahue III and his wife Laureen of Milford MA and Robert Donahue and his wife Susan of Douglas MA; 3 Grandchildren: William Donahue IV and his wife Terry, Lynne Goding and her husband Kurt and Robert A. Olson and his wife Kara; 4 Great Grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; also her sister-in-law & her husband: Harold and Shirley Murphy of Milford MA.

            Mrs. Donahue was the sister of the late Matilda Foye, the late Albina Grillo, the late Emilio Diotalevi and the late Gemma Bresciani.

            Her funeral will be held Thursday (August 27th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am, prior to her Funeral Mass.
