George "Zary" W. Baraiolo

Mr. George “Zary” W. Baraiolo, 94, of Milford MA, died Saturday evening (July 8, 2017) at Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Margaret R. (Bertonassi) Baraiolo.

Mr. Baraiolo was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Dominic and the late Susan (Bonetti) Baraiolo. He attended Milford public schools and was a WW II US Army veteran. He was a longtime member of the Italian-American Veterans Post #40 of Milford and had been active in their bocce league.

Mr. Baraiolo had been employed in the construction industry for thirty years as a member of Union Local #609. He later was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Framingham State College, retiring in 1994.

Mr. Baraiolo was an avid sports fan of all the New England sports teams, and was especially a fan of the Milford American Legion baseball team. He had volunteered for years as a Milford Little League baseball coach and had also coached girls softball. He had also been active in the men’s candlepin bowling league.

Along with his beloved wife of 61 years, he is survived by his 4 Children: Ellen, wife of Harold Murphy III, Michael Baraiolo and his wife Melissa, Laura Baraiolo and her fiancé Carl Lueders and  William Baraiolo; 8 Grandchildren: Amy, Lisa, Jaime, Dominic, Joseph, Andrew, Samantha and Nico;  3 Great Grandchildren: Keller, Keaton and Maxwell.

Mr. Baraiolo was the brother of the late Ernest Baraiolo and the late Eleanor Baraiolo.

His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Wednesday (July 12th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday (July 11th) from 5pm   to 7pm.
