Gina (DeChellis) Zinck

Mrs. Gina (DeChellis) Zinck, 85, of Milford MA, died Sunday evening (September 18, 2016) at River Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lancaster MA after a period of declining health surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late H. Robert Zinck, who died in 1981.

 

Mrs. Zinck was born in Italy, the daughter of the late Peter and the late Mary Rose (Pompei) DeChellis. She came to the United States with her parents at the age of seven, residing in Boston MA. She was a graduate of Mary Curley High School in Boston MA.

 

Mrs. Zinck had been employed at Mike D’Alio Catering Company where she served as manager of Waters Café at Waters Corporation in Milford and manager of Café Cebel at Digital Corporation in Framingham MA. She later was employed as a wedding & event planner at the Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland MA. From 2006 to 2015 she had been employed as an assistant teacher at Country Kids Pre-School.

 

Mrs. Zinck had been a resident of Milford since 1959 and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was also a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford.

 

Mrs. Zinck is survived by 4 Daughters: Debbie Zinck and Joseph Lurie of Upton MA, Diane Ciccarelli, wife of John Ciccarelli of Milford MA, Doreen Zinck Harmon, wife of Thomas Harmon of Milford MA and Donna Zinckmoore, wife of Michael Moore of Framingham MA;  7 Grandchildren: Michael Beaulieu, Samantha Beaulieu, Brandon Harmon, Macklin Harmon, Kaylee Harmon, Zachary Moore and Kiahna Moore; 2 Great Grandchildren: Olivia Beaulieu and Michael Beaulieu; 1 Sister: Anne “Nina” Franciose, wife of Henry Franciose of Franklin MA; 1 Brother-in-law: Joseph Zinck and his wife Diane of Dorchester MA; 1 Sister-in-law: Jeannie Holmes, wife of Jay Holmes of Braintree MA; her longtime companion: Ernest Panorese of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

 

Mrs. Zinck was the sister of the late Arthur DeChellis and sister-in-law of the late Ada DeChellis of Milford MA.

 

Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday (September 21st) at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA.  The family will receive condolences at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church from 9:15am to 10am, prior to her Funeral Mass. There are no funeral home visiting hours.

 

Due to space restrictions, the family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown MA 02472.
