Kathleen P. (Moore) Durkin

            Mrs. Kathleen P. (Moore) Durkin, 83, of Marlborough MA and formerly of Natick MA, died

Wednesday (January 20, 2016) at The Reservoir Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Marlborough MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Durkin, who died in 2011.

            Mrs. Durkin was born in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada the daughter of the late Charles P. and the late Harriet P. (Bugden) Moore. She attended some schooling in Canada and was a graduate of Somerville High School.

            Mrs. Durkin had resided in Natick MA for most of her life and had been employed at Warren Business Forms, located in Auburndale MA, for several years.

            Mrs. Durkin loved to do crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching the television show “Jeopardy”, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, her great grandchildren & her great great grandson.

            Mrs. Durkin is survived by her 4 Children: Linda L. Durkin of Leominster MA, Wayne T. Durkin and his wife Rita of Northwood NH, Karen, wife of Robert Allen of Hopedale MA and Nancy M. Sparrow of Natick MA; 11 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandson; 1 Sister: Marjorie Farrell of Andover MA; 1 Brother: Gerald Moore of Vista CA; and many nieces & nephews.

            Mrs. Durkin was the grandmother of the late Daniel J. Allen, who died in 2011.

            In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Visiting Hours at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA on Saturday (January 30th) from 11am to 12 NOON.

           In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Live & Let Live Farm, 20 Paradice Lane, Chichester NH 03258.
