Kevin Thomas Casey

December 15, 1952 ~ August 17, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old


Mr. Kevin T. Casey, 64, of Milford MA and Narragansett RI, husband of Cynthia A. (Samra) Casey,died Thursday (August 17, 2017) after a courageous battle with ALS – Lou Gehrig’s disease.

 

Kevin was born in Milford MA, the son of the late John J. and the late Alice G. (Tenanty) Casey. He attended Milford public schools and the former St. Mary’s parochial schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1970. He also received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nichols College.

 

Kevin was first employed as a young man working in the family owned business, the John J. Casey Insurance Agency, where he was responsible for the installation & operation of a cutting edge computer system used at the insurance agency. He continued working there until the transfer of the family business to new owners in 1980.

 

Kevin then began his long career as an IT systems consultant and business virtual network specialist, with the establishment of The Systems House, a company that he owned & operated for many years advising clients on their computer system development and operation needs.

 

Kevin was a former member of the Milford Rotary Club. He had a big and generous heart and spent much time and effort with his son, Liam, on charitable and community causes and personal kindnesses large and small. He was an avid photographer in his youth. He also had a lifelong love of the water and adventure, and was a skilled sailor and scuba diver. He also loved his pet dogs and spending time with them on long walks.

 

Kevin is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Cynthia; his son Liam J. Casey to whom he was a devoted father; his brother: Atty. Peter S. Casey and his wife Linda of Milford MA; his sister: Karen, wife of Atty. Peter McDermott of Hopkinton MA; and additional in-laws, nieces & nephews.

 

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and there are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.                          

 

The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc., One Trowbridge Road, Suite #322, Bourne MA 02532.
