Louise Marie (Miller) Duridas

Mrs. Louise M. (Miller) Duridas, 88, of Milford MA, died Monday evening (April 27, 2015) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John Duridas, who died in 2009.

Mrs. Duridas was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Leo F. and the late Mary (Clement) Miller. She was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1943. She had been employed as a young woman at Valpey Crystal Industries in Holliston MA until her marriage when she became a devoted wife and mother.

Mrs. Duridas is survived by 1 Son: John “Jay” Duridas of Milford MA; 1 Daughter: Jeanne L., wife of James Amato of Portsmouth NH; 6 Grandchildren: Alex Duridas of Milford MA, Aaron Duridas of Hopedale MA, Leah Duridas of Los Angeles CA, Jaclyn Duridas of Milford MA, Kathryn, wife of Christopher LaRosa of South Windsor CT and Kristen Amato of Portsmouth NH; several nieces and nephews, including Victoria Griffin of Milford MA.

Mrs. Duridas was the sister of the late Charles F. Miller of Milford MA, the late Margaret Goucher of Milford MA and the late Harriet Claflin of Holliston MA. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Julie (Mazzini) Duridas of Milford MA.

Her funeral will be held Friday (May 1st) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday morning (May 1st) from 9am to 10am, prior to her Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown MA 02472.
