Marble L. "Babe" (Jr.) Mainini

          Mr. Marble L. “Babe” Mainini Jr., 93, of Milford MA, died Thursday morning (November 19, 2015) at his residence after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita V. (Snow) Mainini, who died in 2007.

           Mr. Mainini was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Marble and the late Mary (Rizzi) Mainini Sr. He attended Milford public schools and was a WW II US Army Air Corps veteran, attaining the rank of Sgt. He was a longtime member of the Italian-American Veterans Post of Milford.

            Mr Mainini was a lifelong resident of Milford MA. He owned and operated Mainini Plumbing & Heating Company, located in Framingham MA and Natick MA. He was also co-owner of the former Monticello Hotel, located in Framingham MA.

            Mr. Mainini is survived by his 10 Children: Marble L. “Babe” Mainini III and his wife Cynthia of Milford MA, Veronica "Sissy" Mainini of Milford MA, Michele “Shelly” Mainini of Milford MA, Thomas “Buddy” Mainini and his wife Cammie of Milford MA, Mary Mainini of Milford MA, Rita-Jane “Janie” Ferrelli, wife of Russell Ferrelli of Framingham MA, John Mainini of Milford MA, Timothy Mainini of Dennisport MA, Ellen Dunn, wife of Scott Dunn of Milford MA and Terese “TC” Richards, wife of Arthur Richards of Uxbridge MA; 17 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

            Mr. Mainini was the brother of the late Frederick Mainini and the late Claire Bertorelli.

            His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Monday (November 23rd) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street, Medway MA. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday (November 22nd) from 2pm to 6pm.
