Margaret Frances (Gaffney) Falvey

Mrs. Margaret F. (Gaffney) Falvey, 83, of Milford MA, died Wednesday evening (January 24, 2018) at her residence after an illness. She was the beloved wife of James F. Falvey, who died in 1981.

Mrs. Falvey was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Margaret (Plouffe) Gaffney. She attended Hopedale public schools and had been employed at the former Porter Shoe Company in Milford.

Mrs. Falvey was a resident of Milford for most of her life and enjoyed decorating and painting. She also loved spending time with her friends, but especially with her family members.

Mrs. Falvey is survived by her 4 children: James Falvey and his wife Sherri of Northbridge MA, David Falvey and his wife Esta of Milford MA, Kevin Falvey of Milford MA and Kathleen Falvey of Milford MA; 13 grandchildren: Lauren Giakoumidis, Lana Falvey, Andrea Falvey, David Falvey, James Falvey, Ryan Falvey, Ashley Falvey, Amanda Falvey, Shannon Falvey, Theodore Laridis, Steven Laridis, Michael Martorano and Marissa Martorano; 3 great grandchildren: Parker Falvey, Caleb James Laridis and Madeline Trenchard; 5 siblings: Charles Gaffney of Milford MA, Richard Gaffney and his wife Arlene of Bellingham MA, Emma Flaherty of Medway MA, Julia Santucci of Plainville MA and Pauline Kell of Hopedale MA; also many nieces & nephews.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (January 30th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will following St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester MA. Visiting hours will be Monday (January 29th) from  4pm to 7pm
