Margaret Marie (Kearnan) Tolenti

Mrs. Margaret M. (Kearnan) Tolenti, 97, formerly of Hopedale MA, died Thursday evening (October 13, 2016) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter P. Tolenti, who died in 1973.

Mrs. Tolenti was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late George and the late Mary (Kilroy) Kearnan. She attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School.

Mrs. Tolenti had been a longtime resident of Hopedale MA and had been employed as a deli manager at the former Iandoli’s Supermarket in Milford. She was an active member of the Hopedale Community House where she loved to knit & crochet.

Mrs. Tolenti is survived by 1 Daughter-in-law: Gloria Tolenti of Pennsylvania; 4 Grandchildren: Tara, Nicole, Joseph and Summer; 2 Great Grandchildren: Antonio and Marissa; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & cousins.

Mrs. Tolenti was the mother of the late Peter Tolenti and the late Walter Tolenti and the sister of the late Lawrence J. Kearnan, the late Eleanor Mussulli, the late Walter Kearnan and the late Christine Gurciullo.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (October 18th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Monday (October 17th) from 5pm to 8pm.
