Mrs. Mary A. (DeMelia) Renaud, 85, of Milford MA died Friday morning (June 24, 2016) at Genesis Healthcare-Milford Center after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald E. Renaud Sr., who died in 2011.

 

Mrs. Renaud was born in Cambridge MA, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and the late Catherine (Santo) DeMelia. She was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1950. She also attended nursing school.

 

Mrs. Renaud was first employed as a school cafeteria worker in Florida while her late husband was serving in the military. She later was employed at the former Milford Shoe Company for many years, until her retirement.

 

Mrs. Renaud was an avid bingo player and loved to crochet. But most of all she loved spending time with & cooking for her family.

 

Mrs. Renaud is survived by 1 Daughter: Mary Ellen Auger of Milford MA; 2 Sons: Gerald E. Renaud Jr. and his longtime companion Debbie of Bellingham MA and David M. Renaud of Milford MA; 5 Grandchildren: Jason Renaud, Tina & Derek Halkett, Joline Rogers and Jeremy Carter; 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Teresa Trapnell of FL and Julie Monroe of TN; also several nieces & nephews.

 

Mrs. Renaud was the sister of the late Frances Johnson, the late Carmen DeMelia and the late James DeMelia.

 

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Committal Services on Monday (July 11th) at 11:15am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home of Milford MA.
