Monica M. (Curran) Mabie

           Mrs. Monica M. (Curran) Mabie, 47, of Milford MA, passed away Saturday (September 12, 2015) after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

            A daughter of the late Michael F. Curran Sr. and survived by her loving mother, Phyllis (Riker) Curran of Milford MA, she was born in Nyack NY.

            Monica graduated from Milford High School and Framingham State University. After graduation she began her career in early childhood education with Kindercare/Knowledge Universe and was currently employed as a center director. Monica loved children and devoted her life to the care and development of children.

            Monica was an avid cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone who knew her. When Monica entered the room, you knew a smile and laugh was not far behind.

            Along with her husband Kevin, she is survived by her 2 Step-Children: Ryan & Rachel Mabie; 2 Brothers: Michael F. Curran Jr. & Marc Curran; her Mother-in-law: Joyce Mabie Taralli and numerous other family members.

            Her funeral will be held Wednesday (September 16th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be Tuesday (September 15th) from 5pm to 8pm.
