Norma E. (Tomassini) Plante

Mrs. Norma E. (Tomassini) Plante, 83, of Milford MA, died Tuesday (November 22, 2016) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo E. “Eddie” Plante, who died in 2012.

Mrs. Plante was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Batista and the late Edith (Casali) Tomassini. She was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1951. She then attended Bryant College.

Mrs. Plante had been employed as an administrative assistant at Alternatives Unlimited in Whitinsville MA and Milford MA for over 25 years.

Mrs. Plante was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and an active member of the church. Mrs. Plante loved spending time with her family, especially going to Newport RI. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 Daughters: Sharon, wife Atty. Jeffrey Goldstein of Bellingham MA; Gina, wife of Dr. Jeffrey Gottlieb of South Glastonbury CT; 6 Grandchildren: Julia, Nathaniel and Kayla Goldstein, Zachary, Lauren and Emily Gottlieb;  her sister: Edna Charest of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

She was the sister of the late Dorothy Bufalo, the late John Tomassini and the late Alfred Tomassini.

In accordance with her wishes Private Funeral Services will be held Saturday (November 26th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours.
