Paul Andre Gelinas

October 9, 1958 ~ January 23, 2016 (age 57) 57 Years Old


            Mr. Paul A. Gelinas, 57, of Lunenburg MA and formerly of Milford MA died unexpectedly Saturday (January 23, 2016) in Lincoln NH as a result of injuries sustained from being struck by an automobile while walking with friends on route to view the Ice Castle exhibit. He was the husband of the late Terry Jo (Mazaika) Gelinas, who died in 2009.

 

            Mr. Gelinas was born in Brighton MA, the son of the late John D. Gelinas Sr. and the late Mildred J. (Fitzgerald) Gelinas. He was a graduate of Holliston High School, Class of 1976 and also a graduate of Pfeiffer University in Meisenheimer NC, Class of 1981.

 

            Mr. Gelinas had been employed at the Cumberland Farms warehouse complex in Westborough MA and later at Alkermes PLC Corporation in Cambridge MA. Recently he had been self-employed in  construction, performing remodeling and finish carpentry.

 

            Mr. Gelinas was an avid NASCAR fan and loved riding motorcycles, including trips to Daytona FL and Laconia NH. He had a new found love for all NE sports teams and enjoyed sharing photographs of his many adventures with his friends.

 

             Mr. Gelinas is survived by 2 Sons: Dennis C. Gelinas and his wife Ashley of Holliston MA and Michael A. Gelinas of Whitinsville MA; 1 Granddaughter: Alexis Gelinas of Holliston MA; Longtime companion Kelly McCaffrey of Lunenburg MA; 4 Siblings: John D. Gelinas Jr. and his wife Rita of Holliston MA, Christopher M. Gelinas and his wife Emily of Plaistow NH, Dana R. Gelinas and his wife TerriAnn of Milford MA and Michelle Wilcox of Milford MA; 1 aunt, one uncle and several nieces & nephews.

 

            In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a private graveside committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held on Friday (January 29th) from 4pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.                  A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Thursday, February 4th from 6-9pm at The Luxury Box, 899 Central St., Leominster MA.

 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 845945, Boston MA 02284-5945
