Mrs. Pauline J. (Covino) Jionzo, 83, of Milford MA, died early Wednesday morning (June 15, 2016) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Neil Jionzo, who died in 1988.
Mrs. Jionzo was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Anna (Bertone) Covino. She attended Milford public schools as a young girl and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1950.
Mrs. Jionzo was a longtime employee of the US Postal Service having first worked in Framingham & Natick. She later worked in Milford, retiring as a supervisor. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to play bingo.
Mrs. Jionzo is survived by 1 Daughter: Beverly, wife of Daniel Spas of Bellingham MA; 4 Grandchildren: Daniel , Heidi , Andrew and Jason ; 8 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Nancy Kelley of Tyngsboro MA; several nieces and nephews; 1 Sister-in-law: Eleanor Covino of Milford MA.
Mrs. Jionzo was the sister of the late Felice Covino.
Due to a problem with the Milford Daily News, her funeral has been postponed until MONDAY (June 20th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held MONDAY (June 20th) from 10:30am to 11:30am, prior to her Funeral Mass.
