Rose M. (Romiglio) Fafard

Mrs. Rose M. (Romiglio) Fafard, 109, of Hopedale MA, died Saturday (July 16, 2016) at Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Westborough MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Horace J. Fafard, who died in 1987.

Mrs. Fafard was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Angelo and the late Lucia (Parrichini) Romiglio. She attended Milford public schools and had been employed as a housekeeper as a young woman. She later was employed at the former Kartiganer Hat Shop in Upton MA.

Mrs. Fafard had been a resident of Hopedale MA for most of her life and was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She was also a member of the church’s ladies sodality and the former Nelligan Square Club.

Mrs. Fafard is survived by 1 Daughter: Lorraine J. Vitali of Hopedale MA; 1 Son: Howard A. Fafard and his wife Madlyn of Framingham MA; 1 Daughter-in-law: Lorraine S. Fafard of Hopedale MA; 8 Grandchildren: Charlene Carlson, Richard Vitali, Ronald Fafard, Philip Vitali, Shirley Fafard, Jeffrey Fafard, Peter Fafard and Donna Hurley; 6 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Fafard was the mother of the late Donald R. Fafard, of Hopedale MA, who died in 2013 and the mother-in-law of the late Albo Vitali, of Hopedale MA, who died in 2006.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (July 23rd) at 11am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (July 22nd) from 2pm to 4pm  &  7pm to 9pm.
