Walter Harold Anderberg Jr.

           Mr. Walter H. Anderberg Jr., 79, of Milford MA, died Monday (June 8, 2015) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Gladys A. (Gaskill) Anderberg.

 

            Mr. Anderberg was born in Harrisville RI, the son of the late Walter and the late Agnes (Comtois) Anderberg Sr. He attended Harrisville RI public schools, graduating from Callahan High School, Class of 1953. He also was a graduate of the Bentley School of Accounting & Finance, located in Brookline MA.

 

            Mr. Anderberg was first employed in the administrative offices of the former Seaver’s Express Company in Milford MA. He then was employed for about 13 years at the Whitin Machine Works located in Whitinsville MA. He later was employed for about 30 years at D. G. O’Brien Inc. located first in Framingham MA and later located in Seabrook NH, retiring in 1998 as a production control supervisor.

 

            Mr. Anderberg was an avid golfer, loved gardening, ball room dancing, watching all kinds of sporting events and loved going to the casino. He was an avid bowler and member of the Milford Seniors Bowling League, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.

 

            Along with his beloved wife of 58 years, he is survived by his 2 Children: Debra J., wife of the late John Antonuccio of Northbridge MA and Michael C. Anderberg and his spouse Steven Nelson-Anderberg of Hopkinton MA; 3 Grandchildren: Nicholas Antonuccio and his wife Tara of Woonsocket RI, Lori, wife of Samual Conklin of Blackstone MA and Kevin Antonuccio of Whitinsville MA; 3 Great Grandchildren: Dominick Antonuccio of Woonsocket RI, Anthony Conklin and James Conklin of Blackstone MA; 1 Brother: Carl Anderberg of Harisville RI; 1 Sister: Flora Olson of Tampa FL; several nieces & nephews.

 

            Funeral services will be held Thursday (June 11th) at 10AM at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday (June 10th) from 5pm to 8pm.

 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Oliva Family Cancer Comfort Fund or to the Milford Regional Medical Center, both organizations c/o the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, 14 Prospect Street, Milford MA 01757.
