Mrs. Concetta "Connie" F. (Mastroianni) D'Alesio, 81, of Milford MA, died Sunday (June 26, 2011) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Antonio D. D'Alesio.

Mrs. D'Alesio was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Raphaele and the late Elizabeth (Trolla) Mastroianni. She attended Milford public schools and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1947. She was also a graduate of the former Milford Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. D'Alesio was a longtime registered nurse having worked for forty-five years in the operating room at Milford Hospital. She was a longtime member of the A.O.R.N. Association.

Mrs. D'Alesio was a lifetime resident of Milford and a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Along with her husband of fifty-six years, she is survived by 2 Daughters: Liz D'Alesio, wife of Dr. Thomas Spina of Mendon MA and Karen M. D'Alesio of Brockton MA; 1 Granddaughter: Gaetana D'Alesio-Spina of Mendon MA; 3 Brothers: John Mastroianni of Milford MA, Leopoldo Mastroianni and his wife Beverly of Milford MA and Ernest Mastroianni and his wife Karen of St. Agustine FL; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

Mrs. D'Alesio was the sister of the late Anthony Mastroianni of Milford.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday (June 29th) at 11am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Upper Church), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Road (Rte 109), Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday (June 28th) from 5pm to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Cancer Care Fund @ Milford Regional Medical Center, 14 Prospect Street, Milford MA 01757.

Every once in a while you are blessed to know a woman of such grace and beauty, who teaches you courage in the face of adversity, and who welcomes you into her family like you were one of her own. Connie was that women. I will forever be grateful. Love to all.
