Miss Susan Karakeian, 88, of Milford MA, died Tuesday (July 17, 2012) at Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health.
Miss Karakein was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Mesrope and the late Sarah (Masmanian)Karakeian. She attended Milford public schools and was a graduate of Milford High School.
Miss Karakeian was a lifelong resident of Milford and a communicant of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford. She loved gardening, loved to bake and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was also a member of the Greenleaf Garden Club of Milford.
Miss Karakein had been employed at the General Motors assembly plant in Framingham MA for over thirty-five years.
Miss Karakeian is survived by 1 Sister: Nellie, wife of Johnā€¯Honeyā€¯ Speroni of Milford MA; her nieces and nephews: Linda Castiglioni Cameron, wife of Glenn Cameron of Milford MA, Steven Castiglioni and his wife Lynne of Bellingham MA, Gary Castiglioni and his wife Betty of Milford MA, Alfred Castiglioni of Milford MA, Richard Speroni and his wife Beverly of Norfolk MA, Thomas Speroni and his wife Nancy of Milford MA, Vivian, wife of Paul Marcell of Millbury MA, David Karakeian and his wife June of Bellingham MA, Jean Cormier Maxwell of Bellingham MA, Mark Karakeian of Milford MA, Ronald Karakeian of Bellingham MA, Anthony Karakeian and his wife Jill of Bellingham MA; also many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Miss Karakeian was the sister of the late Agnes (Karakeian) Castiglioni, the late Hapet Karakeian, the late Nishian Karakeian and the aunt of the late John J. Speroni Jr.
In accordance with her wishes, Private Funeral Services will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford. There are no visiting hours.
