Paul Barker Boone

Mr. Paul B. Boone, 79, of Milford MA died Saturday (April 13, 2024) passing unexpectedly at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Joanne M. (Gardner) Boone married 55 years.

Paul was born in Milford MA, son of the late Spoffard B. Boone and the late Filomena (Fannie) I. (Anzivino) Boone. He was a lifelong resident of Milford attending Milford public schools and later becoming a proud member of the US Navy Reserves.

Paul became a skilled brick and stone mason, creating many beautiful masterpieces from exquisite fireplaces to stunning walkways and majestic stone walls.  He later was employed as a custodian for the Town of Milford for over 25 years, working in the Milford public school system and had been a member of the Milford Marchegiano Club.

Being a lifelong resident of Milford, Paul was known by all who knew him as a sweet, kind soul who would help anyone in need.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, the epitome of a family man. His favorite past time was his grandson Max, always making sure he was attending Max’s many sporting events, no matter the day, no matter the time. He had an insatiable work ethic continuing after retirement keeping busy by doing small masonry jobs and “junk runs” with his nephew Robbie.

Along with his beloved wife Joanne of 55 years, he is survived by his 2 daughters: Paula McFadyen and her husband John McFadyen of Holliston MA and Christine “Chrissy” Boone of Milford MA; his cherished grandson: Max John-Paul McFadyen of Holliston MA; his 3 siblings: Kathleen Ross and her husband William Ross of Uxbridge MA, Irene Castiglione and her husband Ray Castiglione of Nottingham NH and Alfred Boone and his wife Sheila Boone of Bellingham MA; and many adored nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and neighbors.

Paul was the brother of the late Joseph Anzivino; the late Daniel Boone and the late Albert Boone.

His funeral will be held Friday, April 19th, at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 18th, from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
