Angelina M. (Granese) Bruno

Mrs. Angelina M. (Granese) Bruno, 93, of Milford MA, died Sunday (September 8, 2019) at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Bruno, who died in 2000.

Mrs. Bruno was born in Wakefield MA, the daughter of the late Vincent and the late Rocchina (DeFelice) Granese. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1943 and also a graduate of Lowell Teacher’s College, Class of 1947, where she received her bachelor of science degree. She later attained her master’s degree in education from Boston University in 1951.

Mrs. Bruno had been employed for many years as an elementary school teacher, working in Wakefield, Westborough and Milford. She also served as a Training Teacher for Framingham Teacher’s College.

 Mrs. Bruno was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford and a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association.

Mrs. Bruno is survived by her son: Frank Bruno and his wife Janice of Milford MA; her nephews: Michael Granese and his wife Sharon of North Reading MA, Mark Granese and his wife Linda of Medford MA and Vincent Granese and his wife Monica of Boston MA; also her niece: Michelle, wife of Sam Romero of Malden MA.

Mrs. Bruno was pre-deceased by her brother Michael Granese and her sister Anna Granese, both of Wakefield MA.

Private Funeral Services under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA will be held at the convenience of the family.  There are no visiting hours.
