Atty. David T. Pagnini, 78, of Hopedale MA, died Sunday night (November 25, 2018) at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Judith Ann (Geipel) Pagnini.
Atty. Pagnini was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Tulio and the late Phyllis (Rossetti) Pagnini. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1958 and of Amherst College, Class of 1962. He then attained his law degree from Boston College School of Law, Class of 1965. Atty. Pagnini began his legal career working as a public defender for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Afterwards, he opened his own law practice serving the greater Milford area as a well-respected source of trust and guidance for over fifty years. He retired, finally, in 2015.
Atty. Pagnini was a longtime and proud member of the Marchegiano Club in Milford; a longtime member of the Milford Rotary Club and also a Compassionate Care Provider volunteer at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was presently serving as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Hopedale and was a former member of the Hopedale School Committee. Throughout his career in law, he was also a member of the Worcester County Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Atty. Pagnini loved to travel; loved boating; loved to read literature, poetry and history. But above all else, he loved his family and especially time spent together at their camp on the shore of Thompson Lake, Maine. Creator of the family’s annual 4th of July horseshoe tournament, he was a proud but never boastful three-time champion. Ever discerning, he was as well a two-time winner of the family’s annual Thanksgiving poker tournament.
Along with his beloved wife of fifty-two years, he was the caring and loving father of his 4 children: Benjamin David Pagnini and his wife Carlesia of Dracut MA; Rachel, wife of David Murray of Sapulpa OK; Atty. Gregor Andrew Pagnini and his wife Megan Britt of Melrose MA; Elizabeth Ann Pagnini of Uxbridge MA; he was also the playful and doting grandfather of 4 grandchildren: Elizabeth Murray, Tyler Murray, Luca Pagnini and Morgan Pagnini; 2 brothers: William Pagnini and his wife Margo of Indio CA and Robert Pagnini and his wife Karen of San Antonio TX; also numerous and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives & friends are invited to extend their condolences to David’s family on Friday (November 30th) from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow and a private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday (December 1st) at 10am in the Hopedale Unitarian Parish, Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA.
