Betty Phyllis (Mattoon) Blake

Mrs. Betty P. (Mattoon) Blake, 74, of Hopedale MA, died Monday (May 6, 2019) at UMASS-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA after an illness.

Betty was born in Pittsfield MA, the daughter of the late Clifford A. and the late Phyllis Mae (Barber) Mattoon. She attended public schools in Manchester-by-the-Sea MA and was a graduate of Manchester High School.

Betty was first employed as a young woman in the accounting department at Cable Memorial Hospital in Ipswich MA. She later was employed at the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham MA, again in the accounting department. She last was employed at the Human Services Management Corporation located in Milford MA.

Betty is survived by her 2 Sons: Frank R. Blake Jr., and his wife Heidi of Framingham MA and Matthew A. Champagne of Hopedale MA; 1 Granddaughter: Ava Blake of Framingham MA; 1 Sister: Laurie Sheppard of Knollwood TX; also several nieces & nephews.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Rosedale Extension Cemetery in Manchester-by-the-Sea MA on a Saturday (June 1st) at 11am. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
