Cynthia Small Obituary

Mrs. Cynthia Anne  (DePasquale) Small, age 60, of Milford MA, passed into the peace of the Lord surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home on November 12, 2018 after a twenty year long battle with cancer.

 

Cynthia was born in Milford in 1958, graduated from Milford High School in 1976, and attended Framingham State University where she studied psychology. Cindy dedicated her life to caring for children and helping them to grow and learn, starting with her own.

 

Throughout her life, she delighted in the care and protection of her family. She was a lover of music and art and an avid fan of sitcoms. A truly deep thinker and sincerely spiritual woman, Cindy was a student of the contemplative traditions of the Catholic Church and enjoyed studying and discussing the Scriptures.

 

Cynthia is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Small; her daughter Katherine Blight and her husband Rick and her granddaughter Annalise Blight of Portsmouth RI; her son Matthew Leger-Small and his husband Alexander of Greenfield MA; her parents: Anthony and Patricia (Mussulli) DePasquale of Milford MA; her siblings: Anthony DePasquale of Uxbridge MA, Victoria DePasquale of Milford MA and Elaine Carangelo and her husband Robert of Grafton MA; She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

Cindy is also survived by her brother & sister-in-law: Atty. Francis & Deborah Small; and her sister-in-law: Mary Small. She also leaves behind many friends and will be particularly missed by her Wednesday night bible study family.

 

Cynthia was pre-deceased by Gaetano and Oreander DePasquale (grandparents); Anthony and Eleanor Mussulli (grandparents); Donald and Claire Small (parents-in-law); James and Therese Small (brother & sister-in-law).

 

Her funeral will be held Thursday (November 15th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday (November 14th) from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home
