Dorothy E. Longo, 87, of Milford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Samuel V. Longo.
Born in Upton, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Kelley) Sullivan. She was educated in Milford schools and was a graduate of Milford High School.
Dorothy worked on the assembly line at Telechron then becoming GE and in later years at Fenwall in Ashland prior to her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and enjoyed playing bingo, dominoes, crossword puzzles and her family. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods and spending time at Old Orchard Beach. She was also an outstanding cook and baker.
Dorothy is survived by her three children, Samuel V. Longo, Jr., and his wife, Andrea, of Milford, Suzanne, wife of Francis “Andy” Anderson of Milford and Daniel M. Longo of New York City, NY; six grandchildren, Kristin A., wife of John Fletcher of Milford, Kerrie, wife of Greg Allegrezza of Milford, Kate A., wife of Joe Erwin of Milford, S. Kevin Longo and his wife, Rebecca, of Melrose, Keith A. Longo and his wife, Lisa, of Los Angeles, CA and Riley D. Longo of New York City, NY; six great-grandchildren, Madison Fletcher, Andrew Fletcher, Esme Longo, Harper Allegrezza, Andy Erwin and Griffin Longo and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John “Jack” Sullivan and Joseph Sullivan.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 9:00 A.M. from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter St., Milford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford.
