Dr. David M. Ruscitti, D.D.S., 67 of Milford MA, died Saturday (January 20, 2018) at Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston after an illness.
Dr. Ruscitti was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late Claude F. and the late Sally A. (Nash) Ruscitti. He attended the former Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1968. He was also a graduate of Merrimack College, Class of 1972. He also was a graduate of the Loyola University-School of Dentistry, Class of 1976.
While attending Merrimack College, he worked as a resident tutor, assisting fellow students with their studies. Upon graduation from Loyola University, Dr. Ruscitti began his career in dentistry by working at the offices of Dr. Henry Iacovelli in Milford. Upon his retirement from his dental practice he worked at the former Cushing Hospital and at the former Wrentham State School, overseeing the dental care of the in-patients. Following that he had been employed at the Target Store in Milford and had volunteered at Tufts Dental School in Boston.
Dr. Ruscitti was a member of the Brain Injury of Massachusetts Association. He also was a longtime member of the K of C – Valencia Council, and had served as a longtime Milford Town Meeting member.
Dr. Ruscitti was also a longtime ham radio operator. He was also an avid camper and loved to tend to his vegetable garden.
Dr. Ruscitti is survived by his son: Jeffrey D. Ruscitti and his fiancée Kimberly Dunbar of Northborough MA; 1 brother: Jon T. Ruscitti and his wife Gayle of Milford MA; his former wife: Joyce E. (Manna) Paquette and her husband James of Uxbridge MA; his brother-in-law: Chris Manna of Whitinsville MA; his sister-in-law: Kathleen, wife of Domenic DeFazio of Milford MA; also nieces & nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday (January 26th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Lower Chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Thursday (January 25th) from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
