Gladys Pauline (Foster) King

Mrs. Gladys P. (Foster) King 87, of Hopedale MA, died Thursday (May 10, 2018) at the Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren G. King, who died in 2013.

Mrs. King was born inWestminster MD, the daughter of the late Homer and the late Emmagine (Gordon) Foster. She was a graduate of Manchester High School in Manchester NH.

She was first employed at the former Milford Movie Theatre and later at the Mendon Drive-In Theatre. Later in life she was employed as a cafeteria worker for 17 years for the Mendon-Upton School Department.

She was a past-president of the Sacred Heart Church of Hopedale Women’s Guild and a past-president of the former St. Michael’s Church of Mendon Women’s Guild.

Mrs. King is survived by her 5 Children: Sheila King Bergman of Oxnard CA, Brenda King DeSantis of Hopedale MA, Robin King Feming and her husband Eric of Melbourne FL, Sherri King Burton of Hopedale MA and Marc King and his wife Stacie Burton of Hopedale MA; 12 Grandchildren: Anthony Acquafresca, Alycia Miller and her husband Greg, Jordan DeSantis, Tanner Siegal, Katharine Richardson and her husband Alec, Eric Fleming, Tyler Fleming, Bradley Fleming Cody Burton, Corey Burton Christopher Masotta and his wife Amanda and Caitlin Beauregard and her husband Brandon; 1 Sister: Virginia Spieler and her husband Joe of York ME;      1 Brother: Clayton Foster and his wife Denise of NC; also nieces & nephews.

Mrs. King was the grandmother of the late Todd Siegal and the sister of the late Albert Foster.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (May 15th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA.
