Harry F. "Rick" Johnson Jr.

Mr. Harry F. “Rick” Johnson Jr., 56, of Milford MA, died unexpectedly on Wednesday (December 12, 2018) shortly after admittance to Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket RI. He was the beloved husband of Julie A. (Gardner) Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was born in Norwood MA, the son of the late Harry F. and the late Mary Ann (Dundulis) Johnson. He attended Walpole public schools and was a graduate of Bishop Feehan High School, Class of 1980. He also attended New Hampshire College.

Harry began his career in the automotive industry while working at the Gillespie Ford Dealership located in Marshfield MA. He then owned & operated his own dealership, Showcase Auto, located in Brockton MA. For the past ten years he had been employed at Imperial Cars of Mendon, most recently working as a sales manager.

Growing up Harry was an avid hockey player, who loved the sport, loved playing hockey with his friends from school and was an avid Boston Bruins fan. He also loved to snow ski, especially at Cannon Mountain and Gunstock Mountain, with his cousins and especially with his daughter, Michaela. 

Harry was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA and was also a past-member of the Wrentham Lions Club.

Along with his beloved wife, he is survived by 1 Daughter: Michaela Rose Johnson of Wrentham MA; 1 Brother: Joseph H. Johnson of Foxboro MA; 2 Sisters-in-law: Deborah Ferland, wife of Brian Ferland of Burriville RI and Kim Lavallee of Uxbridge MA; also several nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by his beloved pet dog, “Eddie”.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (December 19th) at 10am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow and private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (December 18th) from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
