Mrs. Helen (Marko) Bodruk, 88, of Westborough MA and formerly of Milford MA, died early Saturday morning (September 15, 2018) at St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Michael Bodruk.
Mrs. Bodruk was born in Horjanka Poland, the daughter of the late Timothy and the late Maria (Smolinska) Marko. She was a graduate of high school in Poland. She had been employed for many years as the housekeeping supervisor at the former Cushing Hospital in Framingham MA.
Mrs. Bodruk had resided in a German labor camp from 1939 to 1945 and remained in Germany until 1951when she came to the United States through the efforts of the Catholic Relief Services.
Along with her beloved husband of 69 years, she is survived by her 3 Children: Mary, wife of Edmund Sheehan of Whitinsville MA, Vera, wife of John Ring of Milford MA and Michael Bodruk and his wife Yong of Hamburg NY; 6 Grandchildren: Timothy Sheehan of Hooksett NH, Katheryne Sheehan of Whitinsville MA, Michael Ring of Washington state, Paul Ring of VA, Steven Bodruk of Senoya GA and Gregory Bodruk of Hamburg NY; also 2 Great Grandchildren: Adrianna Bodruk and Ethen Bodruk of Senoya GA.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday (September 19th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12PMm in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Wednesday (September 19th) from 10:30am to 11:30am, prior to her Funeral Mass.
