Helen Venice (Sheldon) Longchamps

Mrs. Helen V. (Sheldon) Longchamps, 88, of Hopkinton MA and formerly of Milford MA, died Sunday  (November 18, 2018) at Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton MA. She was the beloved wife of Ernest V. Longchamps.

Mrs. Longchamps was born in Toronto, Canada the daughter of the late Harry and the late Hedy (Stauber) Sheldon. She was a graduate of high school in Toronto and also a graduate of nursing school in Toronto.

Mrs. Longchamps was first employed as a young woman as a registered nurse. She then performed her favorite job as a devoted housewife and mother, raising her family until 1973. She then worked as a cook at the Milford High School cafeteria from 1973 until 1994. She loved spending time with her family as a devoted mother & housewife.

Along with her beloved husband of sixty-four years, she is survived by her 3 Sons: Richard A. Longchamps and his wife Dianne of Wellfleet MA, David P. Longchamps and his wife Laurie of Lewisburg TN and Michael J. Longchamps and his wife Deborah of Oxford MA; 5 Grandchildren: Cory Longchamps and his wife Julie of Douglas MA, Danny Longchamps of Nashville TN, Ryan Longchamps of Lewisburg TN, Trevor Longchamps of New York City NY and Erika, wife of Patrick O’Malley of Fayetteville NC; 3 Great Grandchildren: Camden Longchamps, Brayden Longchamps and Gavin Longchamps; also several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Longchamps was the sister of the late Harry Sheldon, the late Sydney Sheldon,  the late Rudy Sheldon and the late Heidi Davies.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (November 20th) at 10am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home,, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Tuesday (November 20th) from 9am to 10am, prior to her Funeral Service.
