Henry Anthony Franciose

January 20, 1924 ~ October 20, 2017 (age 93) 93 Years Old


           Mr. Henry A. Franciose, 93, of Franklin MA and formerly of Medway MA, died Friday evening (October 20, 2017) at Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Westborough MA after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Ann (DeChellis) Franciose.

 

            Mr. Franciose was born in Berlin NH, the son of the late Frank and the late Filomena (DiCenzo) Franciose. He attended Boston public schools, graduating from Boston English High School, Class of 1941. He later attended Northeastern University.

 

            Mr. Franciose was first employed as a young man as a clerk at a bakery in Somerville MA. He later worked as a US postal service employee for thirty years, retiring in 1981. He was also a WW II US Army veteran.

 

            Mr. Franciose was a longtime member of the DAV, the K of C and the Sons of Italy. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and had been a communicant of St. Jude Catholic Church in Norfolk MA.

 

            Along with his beloved wife of 70 years, he is survived by several nieces & nephews, including Debbie Zinck and Joseph Lurie of Upton MA; Diane, wife of John Ciccarelli of Milford MA; Doreen Zinck Harmon, wife of Thomas Harmon of Milford MA; and Donna Zinckmoore, wife of Michael Moore of Framingham MA; Arthur DeChellis and his wife Linda; Regina Bates; Kathy MacDonald and her husband Dan; Dona Ellis; and Pamela DeChellis and her wife Katie Hodgson. Also several grandnieces & grandnephews.

 

            He was the brother of the late Mario Franciose, the late Frank Franciose and the late Linda Franciose. He was also the uncle of the late David DeChellis.

 

            Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Tuesday (October 24th) in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home of Milford MA.

 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence J. Heron DAV, P O Box #242, Milford MA 01757.
