J. Vincent Iadarola

J. Iadarola Obituary

 

Mr. J. Vincent Iadarola, 89, of Milford MA and formerly Mendon MA, died Saturday night (November 3, 2018) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.

 

Mr. Iadarola was born in Milford MA, the son of the late James V. and the late Caroline (Falcone) Iadarola. He attended Milford public schools and while in high school was an accomplished member of the Milford High School basketball, baseball & football teams. He also was a member of the Milford Legion Baseball team in 1946.

 

Mr. Iadarola was first employed as a young man working at the former Draper Corportion in Hopedale MA; the former Lish Hat Factory in Upton MA and the former Stylon Corporation in Milford MA.

 

Mr. Iadarola was a US Army Korean Conflict veteran having served 4 months in Korea, which included two harsh Korean winters. Upon completion of his military duty, he returned home to Milford and began working in the electronics systems division of Raytheon Corporation where he worked in documentation in the missiles system and in scheduling for the manufacturer of the guidance computer in the space craft for the moon landing. He later worked for Sylvania Electronics Systems in Needham MA on the Minute Man Missile System.

 

When government contracts were completed , he was appointed as an administrative aide to Senator James Kelly in the Massachusetts State House, administering constituent services for the senator’s legislative district of 14 communities.

 

In later years he worked in the computer industry with Prime Computer in Framingham in materials administration and in the research & development division of the company. He retired in 1985 and began working part-time as a salesman for men’s clothier, Anderson-Little Company in Franklin MA.

 

During his retirement he enrolled at Framingham State College in the continuing education division, where he completed a degree program in Liberal Studies, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

 

He is survived by 1 Brother: Pat Iadarola of CT; 1 Sister-in-law: Phyllis Iadarola of Sedalia CO; also several nieces & nephews

 

He was the brother of the late Theresa (Iadarola) Cote Savastano; the late Frank Iadarola; the late Alfred Iadarola and the late Rose (Iadarola) Siple.

 

Funeral Services will be held Friday (November 9th)  at 11am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday (November 9th)  from 10am to 11am, prior to his funeral services.
