Mr. James L. Ferguson, 76, of North Attleboro MA and formerly of Milford MA, died Saturday (July 13, 2019) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was the husband Deborah (Nealon) Ferguson and the husband of the late Patricia A. (Roddy) Ferguson, who died in 1987.
James was born in Boston MA, the son of the late Roland and the late Thelma (St. Germaine) Ferguson. He attended Boston public schools and had owned & operated Worthington Siding Company in the greater Milford area for many years.
James was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for thirty years and proud of his involvement with encouraging other members. He was an avid sports fan for all the Boston teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. His proudest accomplishment was being a grandfather.
He is survived his wife Deborah, of Northbridge MA; 5 Children: Mary Pat Scott of North Attleboro MA, Joanne Barche of Franklin MA, Sarah Ferguson of North Attleboro MA and formerly of Milford MA, Brittany Ferguson of Framingham MA and Courtney Nealon of Northbridge MA; 19 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Bonnie Escabi of Derry NH; and several nieces & nephews.
James was the father of the late James W. Ferguson, the late Michael Ferguson & the late Daniel Ferguson. He was the brother of the late Donna Escabi, the late Judy Donovan, the late Brenda Ferguson, the late Rhonda Ferguson and the late “Butchie” Ferguson.
A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday (July 17th) at 5pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA, preceded by visiting hours from 2pm to 5pm. A private graveside committal service will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury MA.
