Joan Marie (Byron) Tusino

Mrs. Joan Marie (Byron) Tusino, 82, of Seekonk MA and formerly of Milford MA died Friday (August 31, 20180 at Hope Hospice House in Providence RI after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Tusino, who died in 2000.

Mrs. Tusino was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Thomas F. and the late rose R. (Anzivino) Byron. She was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School. As a young woman she was first employed at the family owned fish market in Milford. She later assisted her late husband in the operations of the family business, Tusino Sand & Gravel Company. But her favorite job was being a dedicated homemaker, house wife & mother.

Mrs. Tusino is survived by 2 Daughters: Cheryl A. Blazar of Seekonk MA, with who she had resided & Deborah J. Scafuto of Milford MA; 5 Grandchildren: Ilyse N. Blazar of New York City NY, Jonathan D. Blazar of Tupelo MS, Maxwell S. Blazar of Seekonk MA, Anthony M. Scafuto of Milford MA and Felicia Scafuto of Milford MA; 1 Great Grandson: Michael Scafuto; 2 Sisters: Margaret Ablondi and Rita Tocchi both of Milford MA; 1 Brother: Michael Byron of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Tusino was the mother of the late Karen T. Tusino who died in 1993 and the sister of the late Carol Carboni, the late Thomas Byron and the late Rosemarie Votolato.  

In accordance with her wishes, a Private Graveside Committal Service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
