Josephine Marie (Prece) Witkowski

Mrs. Josephine M. (Prece) Witkowski, 95, of Milford MA, died early Thursday morning (September 20, 2018) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late William Witkowski, who died in 1961 and the late Donald Bourassa, who died in 2017.

Mrs. Witkowski was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Leonardo and the late Pasqualina (Niro) Prece. She attended Milford public schools and was first employed at the former Anthony Roberts Company, located in Milford MA, as a seamstress. She later was employed for many years at GE-Telechron Corporation located in Ashland MA. She also worked part-time at Jean’s Catering in Milford MA.

Mrs Witkowski initially resided in Milford and had been a resident of Cape Cod from 1987 until the past year, where she loved spending time and going to the beach. She also loved to bowl and play bingo.

Mrs. Witkowski is survived by her 2 Children: Joanne, wife of Jack Scavitto of Mendon MA and William Witkowski Jr. of Cape Cod, MA. Also 6 Grandchildren: Nicole, wife of Shawn Haggerty of Blackstone MA, Allyson, wife of Jevins Strachan of Foxboro MA, Valerie, wife of Scott D’Agostino of Southbridge MA, Adam Witkowski of Franklin MA, Gina, wife of Andrew Shaw of Franklinville NJ and Michaella Catallozzi of Bloomfield CT; 6 Great Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Witkowski was the mother of the late Linda Catallozzi who died in 2009 and was pre-deceased by her siblings John, James, Esther, Theresa, Mary, Rose & Louise.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Private Graveside Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
