Judith Ann (Rogers) Walker

Mrs. Judith Ann (Rogers) Walker, 76, of Milford, MA passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family after her long and brave battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlton H. Walker.   She is survived by her 7 children and 16 grandchildren and her brothers.

Mrs. Walker was born in Concord, MA, the daughter of Teresa Rogers.  She retired from Framingham Public School Food Services after more than 20 years of service.

Most of all, Mrs. Walker loved her family.  In addition to her own children, she raised and loved over 40 foster children.  Judie devoted her life to helping the less fortunate, in life she always put others first.  Taking care of children, adults, pets, and stray animals was what made her tick and she was always happiest knowing that everyone was well taken care of.  It is a well known fact that no person or animal left her house with an empty stomach. 

We will all remember how much she cared for others; she never let anyone leave her home without the famous parting phase “Be careful and call me when you get home!”  She was an amazing mother and she redefined what it means to be a caregiver.  If you were lucky enough to be a part of Judie’s life, then you were blessed to be a part of something special and she will be missed by all that did know her.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, January 27th from 11:30am-12:30pm at Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford.  Her Funeral Mass will follow at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Omar Nadeem and his incredible team at the Newton-Wellesley Vernon Cancer Center as well as the Salmon VNA and Hospice team.  The family also wishes to extend a special thank you to Leah and Natasha from Carol Seager Associates located in Worcester for providing care to our entire family, not just Judie, both physically and emotionally. The care they provided went above and beyond and was greatly appreciated.
