Marguerite A. (Oliva) Compagnone

Mrs. Marguerite A. (Oliva) Compagnone, 89, of Milford MA, died Monday evening (July 24, 2017) at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late retired Uxbridge District Court Judge Anthony N. Compagnone.

Mrs. Compagnone was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Nicola and the late Angelina (Mastroianni) Oliva. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1945 and had also attended Burdett School of Business.

Mrs. Compagnone was first employed as a young woman as a medical secretary to the late Dr. Nicholas Mastroianni. She later became a devoted wife and homemaker, raising her beloved four children. She was a lifelong resident of Milford and a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Mrs. Compagnone is the loving mother of Marian Press and her husband Irvin of Wrentham MA, Dr. Anthony N. Compagnone Jr. of Milton MA, Angela Consigli and her husband Paul of Milford MA and Charles J. Compagnone and his wife Wendy of Southlake TX; the adored grandmother of Stephen A. Press and Andrew C. Press, Charles J. Compagnone Jr.  and Mia J. Compagnone; the beloved sister of Anthony “Babe” Oliva and his wife Mary of Milford MA and Eleanor C. Bernat of Upton MA; and the sister-in-law of Elizabeth Oliva of Milford MA, Elena Compagnone of Milford MA and Alice Compagnone of Putnam CT; she also leaves many caring nieces, nephews and cousins from the greater Milford area and beyond.

Mrs. Compagnone was the sister of the late Mary Zacchilli, the late Concetta Brucato, the late Josephine Zacchilli and the late Joseph Oliva.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (July 29th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (July 28th) from 4pm to 8pm.
