Mr. Robert J. Marcone, 89, of Medway MA, died Tuesday (December 12, 2017) at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester MA after an illness.
Mr. Marcone was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Gaudenzio and the late Adelina (Sciullo) Marconi. He attended Milford public schools as a young boy and was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School, Class of 1947.
Mr. Marcone was a US Army Korean Conflict veteran and as a young man was co-owner of Fal-Mar Realty & Building Company. He later worked as an independent building contractor & carpenter and had been employed for the Rosenfeld Company for many years, until his retirement.
Mr. Marcone is survived by his 3 Children: Madonna A., wife of Joseph Terlizzi of Uxbridge MA, John P. Marcone of Medway MA and Thomas J. Marcone and his wife Cheryl of Bellingham MA; 5 Grandchildren: Tiffany Cote, Lynsey Gosselin, Anthony Terlizzi, Nicholas Terlizzi and Samantha Marcone; also 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He is also survived by his former wife, Patricia McGowan of Medway MA.
Mr. Marcone was the brother of the late Mary Marcone, the late Rose Tumolo, the late Clotilda Abramo, the late Eliseo “Allie” Marcone and the late Joseph Marcone.
His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Saturday (December 16th) at 10am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Friday (December 15th) from 4pm to 7pm.
