Mr. Walter J. Clement, 90, formerly of Milford MA & Hopedale MA, died Friday (July 27, 2018) at St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville MA after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Madeline M. (Tocchi) Clement, who died in 2012.
Mr. Clement was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Walter A. and the late Amelia (Consoletti) Clement. He attended Hopedale grammar school and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1946. He was also a graduate of the former Worcester Boys Trade School, Class of 1949.
Mr. Clement was first employed as a young man at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. He later worked at the former Stylon Corporation in Milford MA and the former Zayre Corporation in Framingham MA. He retired in 1993 after working as a custodian at the Medway High School for 17 years.
Mr. Clement had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale MA and Good Shepherd Parish in Linwood MA. He was a longtime member of the Hopedale Country Club and was a participant in the Hoboken Club golf league. He was also a member of the former Milford Elks Lodge.
Mr. Clement is survived by his 3 Children: Stephen Clement of Ocala FL, Paula, wife of Frank Magdits of Parsippany NJ and David Clement and his wife Holly of Uxbridge MA; 8 Grandchildren: Laura Clement, Michael Clement, Andrew Clement and Mary Clement of Florida, Christina Magdits Lovern of Iowa, Lisa Magdits Bishoff of Maryland, Jason Clement of Springfield MA and Madison Clement of Uxbridge MA; 3 Great Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Cecelia Baci.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Saturday (September 15th) ay 11AM at Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood Avenue, Linwood MA. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours.
