Mr. Walter R. "Bobo" Vitalini Jr., 70, of Mendon MA, died Thursday evening (March16, 2017) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness.
Mr. Viatlini was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late Walter R. and the late Mary T. (Ianna) Vitalini. He attended the former Sacred Heart parochial schools and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1964.
Mr. Vitalini was a longtime truck driver working for McMillan-Blodell trucking company for many years. He was also employed as a part-time carpenter. He was a longtime member of the Teamster’s Union. He had also served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972.
Mr. Vitalini had been a longtime resident of Mendon and loved spending time in Maine, where he enjoyed walking & jogging on the beach.
Mr. Vitalini is survived by 1 Daughter: Jessica L., wife of Christopher Sullivan of Auburn MA; 3 Grandchildren: Jason Lioce Jr., Madison Sullivan and Caitlin Sullivan; 2 Sisters: Joanne M. Hickey of Milford MA and Maryellen Marzetta of Snohomish WA; 1 Sister-in-law: Onnalinda Vitalini of Columbia SC; several nieces & nephews and his companion: Nancy Holmberg of Wrentham MA.
Mr. Vitalini was the brother of the late Benjamin S. Vitalini.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a private committal service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
