Mrs. Angela A. (Barahona) Araya, 86, of Framingham MA, died Friday (September 22, 2023) at Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Araya who died in 1985.

Angela was born in San Jose, Costa Rica the daughter of the late Eutiquio Barahona and the late Elisa (Zuniga) Barahona. As a younger woman she resided in Framingham MA from 1962 to 1975. She then moved to Wayland MA from1975 to 1995, and returned to Framingham MA in 1995.

Angela was first employed at the Dennison Manufacturing Company from 1966 to 1970. She later worked at Paine Estates in Wayland MA from 1970 to 2009.

Angela is survived by her beloved son: Mario E. Araya and his wife Sharon Vater-Araya of Milford MA; her 2 granddaughters: Brianna (Araya) LaRocco and her husband Michael LaRocco of Woonsocket RI and Gabriella Araya and her partner Patrick Delehanty of Winthrop MA; her younger brother: Roy Barahona of Costa Rica; also many nieces & nephews in Costa Rica.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Graveside Committal Services in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham MA on a DAY & TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED. Visiting hours will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA on a DAY & TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED.
