Mrs. Anna D. (Strapponi) Calitri, 92, formerly of Milford MA, died Tuesday (July 9, 2019) at Golden Pond in Hopkinton MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Calitri Sr., who died in 2004.

Anna was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late John and the late Desolena (Carasali) Strapponi. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Anna was a devoted wife and mother who loved raising her family. She loved to bowl and travel with her late husband and their group of loyal friends, affectionately known as the "bowling group".

Anna is survived by her 4 Children: Karen, wife of Atty. David D'Alessandro of Springfield VA, Joseph E. Calitri Jr. of Mendon MA, David P. Calitri and his wife Maria of Medway MA and Joanne, wife of Michael Sutton of Milford MA; 5 Grandchildren: Derek D'Alessandro and his wife Jenn, Emily, wife of Michael Miller, Steven Calitri and his fiancée Brianne Greeley, Althea, wife of Dan Goncalves and Angela, wife of Anthony Pepka; also 6 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

Anna was the sister of the late Fortunato Strapponi, the late John Strapponi, the late Attilio Strapponi and the late Evelyn Trongone.

In accordance with her wishes a Private Funeral will be held Saturday (July 20th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Lower Chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours.
