Eleanor Ann
Boni
d. Jan 31, 2022
Eleanor (Ellie) Boni, 89, a lifelong resident of Milford, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31st at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.
Ellie was a devoted daughter, loving sister, beloved aunt and friend who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and gathering with friends for monthly club meetings.
She had a passion for travel and visited many different countries. She loved to entertain family and friends with stories of her travels with her "best girlfriends". Her favorite trips were to Portugal, where she didn't speak the language but "figured out how to get everything she wanted and have a great time anyway" and to Rome, where the highlight of her trip was visiting the Vatican City.
Ellie had a long career at the Milford District Court as an Executive Assistant to The Honorable Francis J. Larkin, where she made many friends and collected many stories about the different characters that she met daily. She would often laugh and say that "everyone she met at the courthouse was innocent".
Preceded in death by her parents Guido and Mary (Tosches) Boni, she is survived by her brother George and his wife Frances of Bellingham, her niece, Sandra (Boni) Klein and her husband Paul of Blackstone, her nephew David Boni and his wife Kathy of Hopedale and, her nephew John Boni and his wife Donna of Bellingham. Great niece Kelly Boni, great nephew Matthew Boni of Bellingham and, great niece Emily Boni of East Greenwich, RI as well as many family members and dear friends.
